No 1 Soccer Camps mourns the passing of legendary No. 1 Staff Coach Michael Sheparovich. Michael was an original staff member who traveled the country as part of the No. 1 Goalkeepers Camp. Michael was a McDonald’s All American Goalkeeper and participated in many of the skill and athletic demonstrations which motivated thousands of young goalkeepers across the country.
Michael’s father immigrated from the Ukraine and is the man responsible for introducing me (Joe Machnik ) to the sport of soccer in high school and later at the Ukrainian Soccer Club in NY.
Michael was part of an elite staff of goalkeeper instructors which led to the national recognition of No. 1 Soccer Camps.
I will miss him as a friend and a member of our extended family.
